🔮 Quick Question: Will Your Future Self Like This?

It's sharing is caring time over here at NourishHer.

I'm sitting on a ton of helpful information made just for moms raising girls, which I use in my workshops, private practice, and writing projects.

Let me know which of the following you'd like to access. I'll send it straight to your inbox next Wednesday for FREE.

I'll be creating three new pieces of content in June and would be happy to dedicate one specifically to YOU! (Anonymously, of course!)

Double Love,

P.S. It's the official start to bathing suit season here in New York. (At least, that's what Memorial Day weekend always feels like to ME since all the pools are officially open.).

If you notice your daughter's feeling a little uncomfortable, I have an idea: instead of telling her she looks great or body size doesn't matter, try empathizing and normalizing the whole situation instead. Here are a couple ideas of comments you can make (or riff off of) to help her:

🩴*Almost everyone feels at least a little awkward in a bathing suit!

🩴*It's normal to feel self-conscious; we're rarely half-naked in public.

🩴*I completely understand why you feel strange; it makes sense since your body has changed since last summer!

🩴*Remember that other people are also feeling strange, even if they don't show it!

🩴*Other people are noticing your body a lot less than you think.

🩴*Remember, the more you move around and have fun then less the way your body looks will matter!

Hello, again! Guess what I've been two for the past ten months for seven hours a day, three days a week? Talking to tweens and teens about.... eating! (And body image because, well, body image has a huge impact on our kids' eating. So that just comes up over and over and over.) Why am I doing all this talking? Because I started back working at the medical center here in New York a few days a week and I'm stationed smack dab in adolescent medicine. (My perfect place, of course!) Talking to...

Do you have one of those Buy, Sell, Giveaway Facebook groups for your community? (Love these!) If not, I highly recommend it! (Find and join now!) I'm constantly posting on our local board as a way to clear the neverending clutter that comes along with childrearing--and it feels good! I've also been known to put out an ISO post on there when I need something too. Most recently I posted asking if anyone had any houseplants they were looking to rehome. 🪴 Because, well, my husband forbids me to...

Ever have that "I'm stuffed but I'm still hungry feeling?" Kinda like how I felt after eating a gianormous plate of BBQ at a friend's house last week, swearing I couldn't fit in "one more thing" and then, ten minutes later, waltzing back over to the dessert table searching for some of those butter cookies. If feeling like you want "just a little" more even though you've eaten a lot makes you feel just a little bit anxious, I hear you! {And if hearing your daughter ask for dessert after...
